I graduated from Eastern Hills High School in Fort Worth, Texas in 1981
I graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas in 1985 (Bachelor of Science in Education)
I then graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1995. (Masters of Educational Administration)
I started teaching in Kansas in the fall of 2014. I have taught English II, English IV, and World Literature since my arrival. I am also involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Huddle here at Kansas and enjoy students activities year around.
Prior to working here at Kansas High School I taught and coached in Gravette, Arkansas for nine years. I went to Siloam Springs and coached there for six years until 2000.
In the fall of 2000 I left and went to Gentry for fourteen years. I coached twelve years there in Gentry and taught English II, English III for fourteen years.
I have always worked with young people and started out in high school working for the YMCA in Fort Worth for four years throughout college when I went home for the summer. I lifeguarded for sixteen years and love teaching in many areas.
My husband and I married in 1985 and he is in business for himself as a horseshoer. He also trains horses,raises a few bucking bulls and we ranch locally. We have two sons, Nick and Seth.
My time away from school is spent at church or home working and enjoying our place. Hank and I enjoy riding colts and taking care of cattle and the place (our ranch). We have family and friends over often and love to visit and spend time with them.
